I have a Masters degree in Clinical Counselling from Adler University and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (RCC #14287). My journey to becoming a therapist started in 2011 where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University. My experience started out as working as a Behavioural Interventionist and Educational Assistant with children and adolescents with special needs. Working for non-profit organizations in the community as an Addictions Counsellor and a Family Counsellor has also provided me with extensive knowledge and training.
I have a passion for empowering clients to uncover their best selves. This passion has led to career opportunities that have allowed me to walk alongside children, youth, men, and women struggling with a variety of life challenges and struggles. I believe that counselling should serve as a safe space that allows us to explore and discover our path to healing and transformation. I understand the vulnerability that clients bring to the therapy room and work to provide clients with a non-judgmental and accepting environment.
In addition to my private practice, I also work with the Primary Care Network Counselling Support Services (PCN) at Share Family and Community Services. If you are struggling with stress, anxiety and/or depression, I provide a safe, warm, compassionate, and empathetic space for you to move through many of these struggles, along with practical tools to begin to make shifts and changes in your life. I believe in people and know there is hope for everyone when they feel heard, understood and accepted.

I have a Masters Degree in Psychology from the University of Tehran. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#19727) with nearly a decade of experience in the field of mental health. My path toward becoming a therapist began with a dual bachelor’s degree in Counselling and Sociology. I strongly believe that sociological factors significantly shape mental health, as the pressures and dynamics of society can deeply influence an individual’s emotional well-being. Afterward, I pursued a Master’s Degree in Psychology, seeking deeper knowledge and practical tools to tailor therapeutic approaches to the unique needs of each client.
My continuing education led me to embrace a psychoanalytic approach, with a particular focus on integrating Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT), both of which offer deep insights into human emotions and relationships. These approaches allow clients to connect with themselves on a deeper level, promoting emotional growth and healing. I specialize in working with individuals who experience depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, life transitions, and interpersonal conflicts.
In my practice, I am deeply committed to helping clients explore their inner world and create meaningful transformations in their lives. I believe that within every challenge lies an opportunity for growth, and together, we can uncover the root causes of distress to bring about lasting change. By understanding the underlying emotions and patterns that shape your current experience, you can gain the insight needed to break free from repetitive cycles and move toward a more fulfilling and authentic life.
I strive to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where you can express yourself freely. My goal is to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, offering support and guidance while helping you develop a stronger sense of self-awareness and emotional well-being. Through our work together, I aim to empower you to make tangible changes that improve your life and relationships, fostering hope and renewal along the way.
Let’s work together to uncover the resilience within you and create a brighter, more connected future.
